RS2 Tying Steps in Pictures

Below are the steps in pictures on tying the RS2. Most people find tying in the two tails challenging the way Rim does it.

Caption under each picture provides a brief comment.


Tie in the first of two tails on the near side of the shank.


Tie in the second of two tails on the far side of the shank.


Apply dubbing to the body.


Twist dubbing tightly around the thread to form a segmented body.


Tie in the wing.


Switch threads if needed.


Form thorax and whip finish.


Trim wing at an angle.
